Professor Ioni Lewis is Deputy Director and Chair of Road Transport Psychology at the MAIC QUT Road Safety Research Collaboration. She has almost 25 years’ experience in the field of traffic psychology. Ioni’s expertise is in the field of road user psychology and, in particular, understanding road user behaviour as well as attitudinal and behaviour change strategies focusing on the design and evaluation of initiatives including education programs and advertising campaigns. She has applied her expertise in a range of road safety topics and behaviours including risky road user behaviours such as speeding through to child pedestrian safety as well as within the context of developing and evaluating messaging relating to advancing vehicle technologies.
