This year’s workshop will present several potential initiatives and resources available to practitioners to help address rural road safety issues. These include some findings and actions from Austroads’ “Pathway to Zero” project, the role of AusRAP and/or KiwiRAP in rural safety data, and awareness of Crash Modification Factor (CMF) resources such as the FHWA CMF Clearinghouse and the NZTA Crash Estimation Compendium. An interactive session will also get participants to come up with their top issues about rural road safety, particularly regarding what evidence is still missing.
