Speed Management in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs)

Coming Soon

Speeding is a major factor in many road fatalities and serious injury crashes in developing countries, especially for vulnerable road users (pedestrians, cyclists and motor-cyclists).  Workshop participants will hear presentations on the new World Bank Guide for Speed Management, an introduction to some of the key challenges/topics in speed management and some good practice examples from LMICs.   This will be followed by roundtable discussions and a panel discussion on the major challenges and solutions to reducing operating speeds to safe system levels in LMIC.
