Tara leads a unified approach and response to safety, environment, asset management and regulation at Transport for NSW delivering globally recognised, safe and sustainable outcomes for the people of NSW. Prior to joining TfNSW, she was Chief Executive of Local Government NSW where she brought together all local government, supporting and advocating for them so they could continue to meet the needs of local communities. Tara successfully led the establishment of the new regulator as Point-to-Point Transport Executive Director. She has extensive operational and strategic leadership experience, from leading billion-dollar programs in TfNSW to leading as the Deputy Commissioner of the NSW State Emergency Service (SES). Tara’s qualifications include: • Master of Business Administration • Graduate Certificate in Management (Public Sector Leadership) • Diploma of Occupation Health and Safety • Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors • Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders.
