Bryan Sherritt

Bryan led the delivery of the state of Victoria’s largest ever road safety infrastructure and speed management program (the $1.7 bn Safe System Road Infrastructure Program) before joining Auckland Transport (AT) in late 2018. Where he established the Safety Function, leading Road Safety and Health and Safety for AT, developing a Vision Zero strategy and Action plan for Auckland and was instrumental in the establishment of a groundbreaking speed management program at AT. Bryan took up the position of Director Road to Zero with Te Manatu Waka New Zealand’s Ministry of Transport in early 2022 leading the delivery New Zealand’s national road safety strategy and action plans – Road to Zero. Working in collaboration with New Zealand’s road safety partners to achieve a 40% reduction in death and serious injury on New Zealand’s roads by 2030. He has a depth of experience and expertise in the development and delivery of Vision Zero / Safe System programs and projects to complement his broad experience base in all aspects of client-side road management. He has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (B.Eng.) from the University of Melbourne.
