The final decision on acceptance, and presentation formats will be determined by the Scientific Committee. Decisions will be informed by the peer-review and available spaces in the program with preference given to the highest quality submissions from practitioners and researchers.

FAQs

Presentation length

If I submit an Extended Abstract, do I choose if it will 15 mins or 7 mins or does the Scientific Committee decide which one it will be?

  • You tell us. It’s one of the options when you submit.
  • All requests for 7 mins will be allocated a 7 mins presentation
  • However, after the review process all accepted submissions will be ranked by the scores given by the peer-reviewers.
    • As we get to the lower scored submissions, some authors who requested a 15 mins oral presentation may be offered a 7 mins oral presentation

Poster collaboration

What is the selection process to work with the graphic design students to design my poster? Is there a limit on the number of submission that will be selected to work with students from Monsh Art, Design and Architecture (MADA)?

  • All authors who submit a poster will be invited to be part of the collaboration
  • We collaborate with a class of students and there is no limit on poster numbers
    • The collaboration includes:
      • poster design
      • images for use in Powerpoint slides during the 3 mins presentation
      • poster will be printed and hung at the conference venue
      • authors are free to use the artwork post-conference
  • Free for authors
    • The collaboration is supported by conference sponsorship
    • There is no cost to authors to participate including the posters being printed and hung. Authors can take their poster after the conference
