Regional & Rural Scholarships

Applications are now closed.

Thanks to the generous support of the Department of Transport (Road Safety Victoria) and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), the ARSC 2021 Organising Committee is delighted to announce the call for applications for $70,500 worth of Regional and Rural Scholarships to attend ARSC 2021.

The Regional and Rural Scholarships are for those working in road safety in regional and rural areas outside of the Capital Cities of all Australian States and Territories and New Zealand Regions.

There are two scholarships available:

Australian and New Zealand Regional and Rural scholarship, and;

Victorian Regional and Rural Local Government Scholarship.

The Scholarships cover travel, accommodation and full conference registration up to a value of $3,500 for Australian and New Zealand delegates. Depending upon the number of applications a part scholarship may also be offered.

The scholarships are for those employed by organisations that are not for profits, small business, local government, community groups (or you may be a volunteer) or similar. Research students and new researchers (those in the first two years of employment) can also apply if they meet the above regional and rural criteria. Note that in addition to the regional and rural scholarship, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is offering additional scholarships for Victorian regional and rural local government employees only.

Applicants for these scholarships do NOT have to submit a conference abstract to be eligible.

Applications closed on 30 June 2021.
