Salamanca Markets

Salamanca Market is Tasmania's most visited tourism attraction and runs each Saturday from 8.30 am to 3 pm, rain, hail or shine. The market extends the full length of Hobart's historic Salamanca Place, from the silos end to the top of Davey Street. You will find a huge selection of locally made products and you can meet the makers, the artisans, the designers and producers.

Mount Wellington / Kunanyi

If you want to see Hobart and all of its beauty then you need to take yourself up to Mount Wellington (Kunanyi). Only a short drive from the Hotel Grand Chancellor, in minutes, you will be transported to the wilderness, bushland and amazing scenery. You may need to bring some sturdy shoes with you if you're into hiking - as there are some great walking track up there. In particular, the Organ Pipes Circuit is very popular. • Red Decker runs the official shuttle bus for kunanyi/Mt Wellington. This is a great option for guests who are without a car as buses depart daily.

Public Buses and Transfers

SkyBus provides fast and low cost airport transfers via the Hobart Express service, operating all year round to the heart of Hobart City. To access the venue from the airport, take the first stop Campbell Street Bus stop which is opposite Hotel Grand Chancellor

Tickets are available online through the SkyBus website. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets at the ticketing booth located opposite the car rental desks in the Arrivals Hall. If the booth is unattended, tickets can be purchased from the SkyBus driver outside theArrivals area.
